HQS Slim Suppressor – cal. 6.5 mm (.264) is the compact, lightweight “little brother” of the HQS Hunter, created for hunters who want a practical Over-Barrel suppressor with a small diameter, low weight and reliable performance in real field conditions.

The key idea behind Slim is simple: keep the rifle fast and comfortable—especially during driven hunts and dynamic shooting—while still achieving clear noise reduction and better control. With a 40 mm diameter and only 293 g weight, this model stays “out of the way” and feels natural on the rifle.

Origin & philosophy (HQS / Karlovo / BAMX Group)

HQS (High Quality Suppressors) is a Bulgarian manufacturer based in Karlovo, a region known for precision metalworking traditions. HQS is part of BAMX Group, with long-term expertise in high-precision machining. The Slim model follows the same HQS approach: practical design, reliable mounting, and consistent performance—focused on real hunters, not “paper specs”.

Over-Barrel design – compact handling matters

HQS Slim uses an Over-Barrel concept, covering part of the barrel to reduce the total rifle length. Even though the suppressor length is 250 mm, it adds only 154 mm to the barrel. This is a major advantage in thick terrain, fast transitions, and situations where you must keep the rifle compact and balanced.

Small diameter (40 mm) – built for driven hunts

The Slim model is designed around a clear priority: minimum bulk with maximum practicality. The 40 mm diameter helps in several important ways:

  • Less obstruction in the field—comfortable rifle carry, less “snagging” risk
  • More natural rifle swing and faster target acquisition
  • Excellent choice when you want a suppressor that stays subtle and light
Single-core + nickel coating – long service life and heat resistance

According to the manufacturer, HQS Slim uses a single-core construction combined with a special nickel coating. This brings practical benefits in everyday use:

  • Better resistance to corrosion and aggressive condensation after shooting
  • Reduced carbon build-up, easier routine cleaning
  • Improved heat tolerance during intensive shooting
Real-world performance (MIL-STD-1474D)
  • Sound reduction: 30+ dB
  • More comfortable shooting experience and less stress for the shooter
  • Better control and faster sight picture recovery in dynamic shooting
  • Practical advantage for hunting scenarios where speed matters

Tests are performed according to the military standard MIL-STD-1474D for suppressed firearm sound measurement.

Interchangeable thread sleeve – one suppressor, multiple rifles

HQS Slim comes with an interchangeable thread sleeve, allowing the suppressor to be used on rifles with different threads. The concept is simple: set it up correctly for your barrel/thread and you get a consistent, repeatable mounting solution.

Compatible threads

13×1 · 14×1 · 14×1 (LH) · 15×1 · 16×1 · 17×1 · 18×1 · 1/2"–20 UNF · 1/2"–28 UNEF · 5/8"–24 UNEF

Max caliber

This version is rated up to 6.5 mm / .264. Always ensure your firearm caliber does not exceed the suppressor’s marked maximum.

Important safety & correct use (from the documentation)
  • Before use, read the documentation—safe operation depends on it.
  • Only trained users should handle, maintain or service suppressors.
  • Before shooting, check visually and by gently shaking that no foreign objects are inside.
  • The suppressor must be fully tightened with no play—check this during use.
  • Condensation forms after shooting—remove the suppressor immediately after use.
  • Do not exceed the recommended rate of fire: up to 6 shots per minute (overheating risk).
  • Suppressors get hot—burn hazard. Do not disassemble while hot; let it cool down.
  • Do not modify the suppressor in any way.
Maintenance – what extends service life
  • Clean and maintain the suppressor after use—this extends service life.
  • Avoid sharp or abrasive tools.
  • Do not use petroleum or alcohol-based products—vapors may be dangerous at the next shot.
  • After cleaning, wash your hands—residue may contain harmful substances.
  • If you have questions about service/warranty, contact an authorized partner.
Why Slim makes sense with optics / thermal sights

During driven hunts and dynamic shooting, you want the rifle to stay quick. Slim’s low weight and small diameter help maintain natural handling, while the suppressor effect improves comfort and control. The result is simple: better behavior, steadier follow-ups, and less fatigue—without turning the rifle into a heavy “front-loaded” setup.
